Positioned along the driveway side of a classic two-story Dutch Colonial, this addition expands the home while preserving the scale and character of the original structure. The new volume introduces a living room, mudroom, second-floor bath, walk-in closet, and a vaulted primary suite, along with a screened porch with skylights that extends the living spaces toward the landscape.

Portions of the existing layout were reconfigured to improve circulation and allow the new wing to connect naturally with the house. Stepped back within the massing, the addition remains largely concealed from the street, allowing the historic form of the home to remain the primary presence.

The result is a quieter expansion that supports contemporary living while maintaining the familiar language of the neighborhood.
